  1. The parkour in assassins creed is so bad that it should serve as a blue print of how to NOT design a parkour system.
    Seriously it's just holding a button, and nothing else, no timing, no precision, no jump control, NOTHING. You have to be the biggest cuck on earth to be able to enjoy the assassins creed parkour

  2. for me it's all about rooftops i find the best games are the ones with big cities

  3. AC 1 sound effects are so nostalgic i still remember play this game it's like in there you can't separate it from me.

AC Valhalla cant climb everything, still limited to specific trees, walls etc infact thier alot of limitations in the creed saga plus the parkour is slower due to armor best way to enjoy some speed is to trip down and it can be clunky easily over shoot and miss your next jump were as previous creeds you garantee to hit your mark.

  5. Also games dont progress they go backwards on variety of things and one thing that suprised me was horse assassinstions you could do in older platforms but on this Valhalla you cant. You cant pounce from your horse to thiers you need to get off chase em or wait for them to stride by, wearing hood ingame pointless they know its you. I remember you could ghost them not just in a crowd but walk slowly by and even assassinate a target before his partner realised.

  8. Tree climbing isn’t Altaïr’s only weakness, he can’t swim either.

  9. Connor is the closest thing the series has to a pro at tree running. He grew up with it the way we do with walking and running.

    It’s an excellent mechanic for adding more verticality to areas that aren’t cities.

  11. I think what makes AC MMO unique is how we traverse the area. Other mmos require you to go a specific direction while AC MMO, you can basically climb to anywhere and i think that's their strong point.

Wished ubisoft had done more with tree free-running like maybe add physics to the weaker branches so that it's not so static, maybe have it break if you stay too long on the weaker branches which forces you to be quick on your feet. But nope, not only is free-running on trees remained unchanged since AC3 but it also got downgraded like the rest of the free-running system in the newer games

  13. AC unity has beautiful free running moves if ubisoft fix unity issue it will be top level game

  14. In general, I think AC 3 has the best parkour.

  15. AC3 was the first AC game with new Parkour system and it was insane for me back then.

  16. Its not really fair to say Ubisoft "wasted opportunities" on games between AC 3 and Valhalla. They are trying create realistic looking locations, and you just cant expect them to put more trees for the sake of more tree parkour if it doesn't fit that location well.
    Sure maybe they could have come up some different shapes of trees and more animations for those.

  19. Me as a kid – first thing I climbed was the pine in front of my house. Altair and Ezio – wow, thats some advanced magic, can you learn that power? Me: Not from ubisoft; Eivor – I mastered the Seider.

    There was few adds in Black Flag and liberation, but it was minimal

  23. I live in england, and there are trees and forests literally everywhere. In Valhalla hey could have fully brought back tree free-running in a big way like in ACIII, but instead they chose to just leave the world super open and bland. It's a shame.

    AC3 introduced Tree Parkour and they never made any changes since for a decade outside of bug fixing.
    100% of the motion done by the games after AC3 are nearly identical to AC3's motion
    Because really, you know what they say, if it aint broke, don't fix it.
    and nothing seems to be broken with this parkour system outside of trees bugged to not work.

    AC3 for all we know had the most amount of trees
    you know where AC3 connects with Valhalla in story?
    When Eivor sailed to Vinland.
    There he met with Connor's people during the time.

    yes, Vinland is the closest thing to AC3. it has dense amount to trees to almost feel like AC3's frontier.

  29. Imo unity has the best parkour while ac3 have the best tree parkour (oh and ac3 is so underrated imo)

  31. AC3 gave us the best innovation in gameplay mechanics and open world design, the tree parkour such a brilliant idea and they made it so epic.

    I laugh how Ubisoft poured work into these systems then each game they downgraded them or removed them.

    Unity's parkour system was peak innovation and they ditched it, what the hell is wrong with them?

  34. One neat details that I know of is that Haytham can't climb on trees
    He would just go down from the trees immediately

  36. I Can See All The Elder Assassins Getting CHASED By Their Fangirls While Ezio And Arno And Jacob Are In Their Underground LAUGHING

  37. Although it's werid that eivor and Edward can climb trees since Edward in the first half of the game is a pirate and eivor is a viking

  38. The right trilogy's parkour seems so heavy. I guess it fits the theme, being proto assassins, or not even assassins at all. I hope in the future, ubisoft can focus more on the movement system. I'd like to see a lot more opportunities for getting from point a to point b. Especially in trees or whatever I guess

  41. Do you know a game that use best tree parkour movements than Ac3? I dont know if "best" is the correct i think more extense movements, like climbing, slide, use vines or another thing.
